Praying for you

This morning as I was ironing I was thinking about you, my blog readers, and praying that God would bless you today. I tried to remember those of you who I know read my blog because of your comments as well as those whose blog I read.

I prayed for you who are sick and under the weather.
I prayed for you who are traveling this week to the bloggers retreat in Florida.
I prayed for you who are worried about your health.
I prayed for you who are speaking at the bloggers retreat.
I prayed for you who are dealing with financial troubles.
I prayed for you who are writers that God would bless your words and your readers.
I prayed for you who are pregnant that God would protect your little one growing inside you.
I prayed for you who are Mommies that God would help you as you daily love your children.
I prayed for you who are dealing with troubles in your marriage that God would bring renewal.
I prayed for you who are depressed.
I prayed for you who are working to reach out to others.
I prayed for you who are daily facing chronic illnesses.
I prayed for you who are people I know in real life who read my blog.
I prayed for you who are starting new businesses that those would be successful.
I prayed for you who are my relatives that you would know God's love today.
I prayed for you who are mourning the loss of a loved one.
I prayed for you who are caring for your elderly parents.
I prayed for you who are not sure about your future.
I prayed for you.
I prayed for you.
I prayed for you.

In case no one has told you lately, you matter...you are special.

Have a day of blessings!

How can I pray for you?

My heart is really full of prayers this week because of some stories I've read in the newspaper. So many people are hurting. A lady lost her life in a house fire. A man whose wife is due any day lost his life when his boat capsized. A husband and father lost his life working in Iraq. Twins are left without parents in another incident. A lady I know is left to move back home as her husband is deployed again and she's expecting their first child in a few months.

I read about one of the ladies in an online email group that was hospitalized this weekend.

If you have a request I'll pray for you too!

Please let me know if I can pray with you over any requests this week. Thank you!

Join me as I pray for these requests over the coming days...

~ election. As Christians we need to be on our knees this week. I received an email this week with a prayer list of items to pray for each day leading up to the election. I do not know where this originated, but I am going to use it. I am going to post those at the end of my posts this week.

~ Kelly. This teen girl is my buddy this season with Audrey's Umbrella. She was hospitalized this week after her chemo treatment when she was getting sick and had blood in her vomit. Update: Kelly is back home.

~ Tyrese. I received this prayer request from my Mom. Pray for this family as their baby boy was beaten and doctors were not sure he was going to live. It is just heart breaking. They were going to take him off the respirator Friday. Monday a.m. update (received in email): They took him off the respirator Saturday and put him on oxygen. He didn’t need the oxygen, he’s breathing on his own. He will stay one more night in ICU and then they will move him to a private room. He started physical and speech therapy. Before the incident, he was talking in a normal 2 year old language. At this time, his only communication is grunting

~ upcoming Financial Peace University at our church. My husband is the volunteer coordinator and I'm helping him get things ready, promoted, etc. We're really excited about this.

~ Hilliard family. Mr. Hilliard passed away Friday very unexpectedly from a massive heart attack. He was 49. Pray for his wife, children, family, coworkers, and students.

~ Christelle's husband.

~ Britt's missing student. Read more here.

~ Baby Bennett. He was to have G tube surgery on Thursday. There has not been a new post since this has happened.

~ Macie. She was mentioned last week. The tests did not show a brain tumor so that is good but she has still been sick.

~ family of Tim Russert. With the election this has been in my thoughts lately. I saw some other news person being interviewed the other day and I couldn't help but think of Mr. Russert and his white board he had during other elections. I was thinking how much his family must be missing him.

~ Devon. This young man was injured last week in a football game. Preliminary tests show he will not walk again. Please pray for him and his family, as well as his teammates and one boy in particular, Anthony. He was struggling because he was "blaming himself, as he missed the ball which got intercepted, which put Devon in the position to tackle the other boy." I received this request from one of my former teacher friends.

These are some of my requests.

~ Stephanie and her family. Her husband recently lost his job.

~ Mrs. B from church. She fell and really has a bad gash across her elbow. She is really sore from the fall. Pray for her to heal and be able to rest.

~ Macie. This little girl is the niece of one of my online friends. She has Down's Syndrome and lately has been having silent seizures, vomiting, lethargy, and turning blue. She will have tests run next week to rule out a brain tumor.
