Good bye 2013

Our family has had quite a year in 2013. It was a year full of loss and grief. A year full of lessons and hope.  A  year of togetherness and memories.

Each year I make a list of goals for the new year, and here is the post of my list of goals I had for 2013.  I looked at them a few weeks ago to see how I was doing. :)

I have worked on my continuing education credits and started on my next set of 150 hours. I am happy to say I did memorize Colossians 3 all the way through.  We started the book Love & Respect but did not get very far into it.  I think guarding my tongue against negativity is something I will have to keep working on because I do better sometimes but then slip up and feel negative again.  I got the school papers and pictures organized in a scrapbook for Caleb, and the newspaper clippings of my husband are organized in clear slip covers in a notebook. I have tried various things to encourage our son in his relationship with God and will continue this.

I look forward to what God has in store for our family in 2014.  I will make a new list of goals for 2014.

Have a day of blessings!

Goals 2013

I looked back at my post I did of my goals for 2012.  I didn't do the scrapbooks as I intended so that is going on the list again this year.  I have the pictures printed and the newspaper articles clipped. I did find things to be creative through the year and enjoyed trying new crafts and projects.

As the new year comes I like to make a list of goals.  This year I've started a list in my journal and thought I'd post it here too as I have the past few years. Here is my list, in no particular order.

~ Work on continuing education credits.  This is a continual thing.  I will finish up my 150 hours before my birthday and then start on the next 150 hours.

~ Memorize Colossians 3.  I was reading this recently and have reread it over and over.  I want to memorize it this year.

~ Go through the book Love & Respect with my husband.  I got this book at the library book sale along with the workbook and hope we are able to go through this together.

~ Guard my words against negativity.

~ Scrapbook  (the books for my husband and son I didn't get done last year)

~ Find ways to encourage our son to grow in his relationship with God.

Have a day of blessings!
