Hershey Kisses

Do you like Hershey Kisses? I do!

I like how they are wrapped and each one has a little flag sticking out of the top.

My cousin and I dressed up as Hershey Kisses one year for Halloween. My Mom made the costumes for us. I was in junior high I believe and she was probably 2 or 3. I think that was my favorite costume ever.

I've noticed recently how many varieties of Kisses there are to buy. I remember eating them when I was little and thinking how neat it was when they came out with Hershey's with almonds. Now they have all sorts....plain, with almonds, white chocolate hugs, dark chocolate, and the list goes on. You can see a list at the website.

We went to a get-together recently for my husband's grandmother. They passed out small favor boxes full of Kisses. They had a variety in each box. There was a new kind I'd never seen. The wrapper was blue with little silver speckles on it and the flag said Cookie. It was white chocolate (like a Hug) with small bits of cookie inside. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not! I tried several. I think I expected it to be a smooth taste of white chocolate and then as I bit down it had the little bits of cookie. I looked on the website but couldn't find it in the listing so maybe it is a special limited edition or something.

So do you like Hershey Kisses? What is your favorite kind? Is there a kind you don't like? Do you have any memories about Kisses?

Oh, my sister Michele will LOVE this post when she sees it! Hershey's Kisses are her favorites. I'd have to go with the plain o' milk chcolate kiss. Doesn't take much to please me, as long as it is chocolate;)

I like them all. Did you ever make 'peanut blossoms'? (peanut butter cookies with an unwrapped chocolate kiss pressed in the center before baking). They're SO good!

I grew up in Maryland so I often went to Hershey Park. Oh, I can remember the aroma of the chocolate as you rode through what was a mock factory. Of course, you ended the ride with a walk straight through the store full of chocolates! Yum!
