Memory Verse Week 3

Were you able to memorize the verse this week? The part that stuck out to me from the Philippians verse is to "have the same attitude as Christ" as well as to "consider others better than yourselves" That is something to always strive for I think.

This week's verse is found in Romans. I had started a list a while back of verses I wanted to memorize, and this was next on the list. I'm not sure when I heard or read it. I was not as familiar with it as I was with the others.

"You have been set free from sin and have become slaves of righteousness. I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to rightesousness leading to holiness." Romans 6:18,19

Happy memorizing! :)

Thats something we dont do a lot off!
My church used to have a memory verse contest every January 26th and being the pastors daughter I used to do it very grudgingly. They used to hold the same contests in other states(in India) and there would be blind people taking part. They would have friends write down the verses for them
I used to be so ashamed of myself
