Wednesday Hodgepodge

 1. Do you manage your own money or do you have a financial planner who helps in some way? Do those kinds of conversations stress you out? A lot or a little? Yes we have one, but it's been a while since we've seen him.  It mostly confuses me and feels overwhelming if I try to process it.  I handle our checkbook and such and have my own method for that, and it doesn't stress me.

2. The second week of October is Pet Peeve Week. Off the top of your head, share TWO of your current pet peeves.
--People looking at their phones at the table.
--Drivers who don't use turn signals.

3. What is one thing you'd like to learn right now, this very week if you could?  how to make a quilt!

4. How concerned are you about the recent health related news concerning Ebola? How about Enterovirus D68?  I have read reports about the Enterovirus, and since I have a young son, it does concern me as it seems to move closer to our area.  Ebola is concerning to me too since it made it to Texas.   I don't want to live in fear that it will spread more but feel it is a possibility.

5. Garfield, Nemo, or Tigger-your favorite orange cartoon character?  Tigger has always annoyed me.  I guess Nemo just based on how they look!

6. I'm going to see Gone Girl with my neighborhood book club this week. So often books made into film are disappointing. What's a book turned film you thought was well done, in that the casting was 'like you pictured' when you read the book, and the film plot remained mostly true to the book plot?  I'm not much of a movie watcher so I don't really have an answer!

7. What is one story your family always tells about you? Of course there are many!  My cousin can tell a lot!  One is at supper we were having Brussels sprouts, and I told her she should try them. She didn't want to, and I told her they have chocolate in the middle and are so good.  I don't know where I came up with that!  It makes me laugh!

8. Insert your own random thought here. I thought I'd share some baby items.  My Mom knew Caleb would like the camo if this is a boy or a girl!  She said she could add a pink bow if needed.  A friend from church gave me the little blanket.  I bought some things at the consignment sale too but didn't take a picture....a sleeper and swaddler and candy corn outfit.

Have a day of blessings!

Cell phones are annoying all around. I like having one but I don't use it in public often. My friend at bowling is on hers all the time. We use to talk, bowling is social time but not anymore. Okay, I guess that should have been my pet peeve today!!! I use my turn signal even when no one is around, that's how I was taught. I like Nemo too. Those are some cute baby clothes. I was able to visit a girl I use to work with and got to hold her new baby girl on Monday.
