Look back at 2014 Goals

I usually look back through the year at my yearly goals, but I have not done that this year. Here is the post about my 2014 Goals.

So when I look at those goals, I have been successful in completing some of those and some I didn't do.  I did not do the study on righteousness.  I wanted to do more than I did on finding ways to show respect to my husband; this is something I want to continue this year. I did find and make some new recipes; I did not try asparagus though!

For the Bible memorization, I chose Psalm 34 and have it memorized for the most part.  I read this chapter every day (or most every day), and it helped me to memorize it.  It is a great chapter, and I'm glad I memorized it.

I completed several hours of continuing education.  Hooray!  I am to 66 hours of the 150 needed. I still have a few more years to get the rest of them done.

Caleb and I did read the New Testament.  We got off of our schedule some days but we have completed it!  This was a wonderful thing for us to be in the habit of doing together I thought.

I'll make a separate post about looking ahead to 2015 goals.

Have a day of blessings!

Goals 2014

I like to post my goals for the year on my blog. I have done this for several years and like to look back at them during the year.

Here are my goals for 2014---
* memorize another chapter of the Bible (not sure which one yet, maybe one of the Psalms)
* continuing working on the continuing education hours towards my 150
* do a study of "righteousness"
* find ways daily of showing respect to my husband.
* try new food and recipes. I want to try asparagus! And I don't know what else.
* craft projects.
* read the New Testament with Caleb.

Have a day of blessings!

Good bye 2013

Our family has had quite a year in 2013. It was a year full of loss and grief. A year full of lessons and hope.  A  year of togetherness and memories.

Each year I make a list of goals for the new year, and here is the post of my list of goals I had for 2013.  I looked at them a few weeks ago to see how I was doing. :)

I have worked on my continuing education credits and started on my next set of 150 hours. I am happy to say I did memorize Colossians 3 all the way through.  We started the book Love & Respect but did not get very far into it.  I think guarding my tongue against negativity is something I will have to keep working on because I do better sometimes but then slip up and feel negative again.  I got the school papers and pictures organized in a scrapbook for Caleb, and the newspaper clippings of my husband are organized in clear slip covers in a notebook. I have tried various things to encourage our son in his relationship with God and will continue this.

I look forward to what God has in store for our family in 2014.  I will make a new list of goals for 2014.

Have a day of blessings!
