It is the end of January. This month has felt like a blur for me. It has been a difficult month for our family. On January 1, my Meemaw passed away. On January 26, my husband's Grandpa passed away. I'm thankful for them both and the memories we have of them and with them as well as the stories passed down about their lives from others.
Today I am thankful for...
~ the love my husband and I share. He has been so supportive of me and I am thankful for our love and friendship.
~ my sweet boy and all the hugs he gives me. I have noticed lately he has given me way more hugs than normal. And they always seem to be at a time when I really I need one.
~ being able to make the trip to see Grandpa last Friday night. We knew he was not doing well, and I'm thankful we got there before he passed away. I will always remember being there together and how my father in law prayed at his bedside. It was a touching moment.
~ finishing the hours needed to renew my teacher certificate. Even though I am not teaching right now, I am keeping my certificate valid. I have to get 150 continuing ed. hours every 5 years. My second set of 5 years is about to expire at the end of February, and I have enough to do my renewal now.
~ being able to volunteer at the schools on Thursdays and Fridays.
Have a day of blessings!
