Prayers & Promises Week #16

Have you been encouraged by someone recently or have you made a point to be an encouragement? Please share your story if you have one. Find a way this week to intentionally do the things that this week's verse says we are to do.

This week's verse is I Peter 3:8--
"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another, be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble."

Please let me know if you have any prayer requests this week.

Join us today for Spiritual Sundays.

Have a day of blessings!

If the world would just live in harmony, have sympathy and love for one another... treat each other with compassion, and act humble. What a world it would be!

Bethany ~ today was my husband bd and we got out and went to lunch and then to the store. As we were driving an elderly gentleman was in front of us and all of the sudden his truck stopped and he kinda ran into a curb. We turned around to help him and after we got his truck pushed out of the way and AAA called we took him to this tire store so he could wait for them to pick him up. As he got into our truck ever so slowly (he had some kind of health issue that caused the blood in his legs not to flow so well and he could barely lift them ~ broke my heart) He said How thankful he was and I said I was soo thankful that we were behind him and he just looked me square in the eyes and said "The GOOD LORD knows where we are and when we need HIM and HE sent you all" I just about cried it was such a divine moment! It truly is better to give than it is to recieve!

Bless you Bethany and may you have a wonderful weekend with your sweet family!

Hi Bethany...there's so many who encourage me and I try to encourage whoever I come across. I've learned everyone is fighting some kind of battle. We all need gentle reminders we're worth something.

Bethany,

I had a friend who kept repeating to me over and over, "You will prosper in everything you do." This encouraged me so much as I look for a job and a new place to live.

This is such an encouraging Scripture passage! I have been reading parts of it to my grandchildren over the past month and I can see it permeating their little hearts. Doesn't mean we don't still have behavior issues to deal with :) But when we do, I stop and pray some of these verses of encouragement for all of us, often out loud, and within a few minutes I do see sweet improvement. They are such a blessing and you have been such an encouragement to me through them as well. :)

Sometimes I think I fail to be an encouragement to others. Good thoughts.

Thank you for sharing and reminding everyone to be an encourager. So many out there are lost and just living from day to day with no hope.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hey Bethany...can I ask for prayer for something. God's opened doors for me to share my story..I've always struggled with doing that but I want o for Him. Could you pray that with the open doors....He gives me the courage. thanks so much.

My prayer for this week is that I allow Jesus to shine through me. It can get frustrating at times, but I want to do me best to be encouragement to others - with His help.

Thank you for praying Bethany.

Love & peace,
Iris
