Today for Thankful Thursday we are over at Grace Alone. Iris is using the theme life for this week.
I am thankful for life. Some people in our world don't put a priority on life anymore, and that is sad to me. Whether the life of the unborn, the elderly, or your own life, life is something we are given by God. It is a true gift. We need to cherish that life. Maybe you don't have the circumstances you wish you did but at the same time you need to be thankful for the life God gave you.
This week I am also thankful for...
~ lunch with my husband. We both look forward to our lunch dates.
~ my well son. He is still coughing some but is better. We're so thankful.
~ being able to go watch school programs.
~ chilly nights and mornings cuddled under warm blankets.
~ emails from friends.
I hope you are having a wonderful day. Thank you for visiting today.
Have a day of blessings!

Hi Bethany,
I come over from Thankful Thursdays. I am so happy that you had a wonderful lunch with your husband and that your son is feeling better. I'm a single mom, and after work I picked up my kids at school. I gave them a longer hug this time and I told them several times how much I loved them. I don't want to be one of the people that do not stop to give love and thanks.
I too am so thankful for my getting to meet women as yourself.

Oh Bethany,
Chilly nights and warm blankets.... Yummm and eeee. Pretty close to heaven. mmmmmmm
Love you girl. Hugs.
There does seem to just be something about cuddling up under a nice warm blanket when it's cold outside. I think there's something comforting about it for some reason.
Hope you have a great weekend!

I'm so glad to read that Caleb is well again. And I love that you and your hubby have your lunch dates. Keep that up. It's good for the marriage.
Love you,
Debbie
So glad that Caleb is feeling better, love you.
What a beautifully written post!
I agree; so many these days put focus on how they can advance, what "bigger and better" they can achieve, and overlook what they have been given already.
I am glad your boy is getting better! My son just recently got over feeling under the weather, too. I hate having to see him so miserable.
Have a weekend full of joy!
Cara
Do I love your list! I love the cool nights & mornings and always thank God for those special lunches with my hubby. So glad to hear your son is better, especially just before the holiday!
I'm glad your son is well again. I can remember how concerned we would be when our children were young and when they would be ill. Even now after they are adults and sick we are concerned. Keep having those lunch dates. My wife was my secretary at the church for several years. We always ate lunch together. We still look back fondly on those days. Keep it up!! God bless you and your family
Always enjoy reading your thankful list.
Just wanted to stop by to let you know I (finally) finished the first in the Sophie Trace series and have started on your book. I really liked the first one and am enjoying this one so far, too. Thanks!!!
