As long as it is called Today: Christian women/men (May)

Welcome to "As long as it is called Today." Our focus on the first week of the month is to encourage one another as Christian women/men. I hope you will join me each week on Tuesdays as we encourage each other in our daily lives as Christians, spouses, parents, and home keepers.

Visit here to read answers to last week's question about organization or to leave your answer. Thank you for sharing!

Today's question: Share your favorite Psalm.

My answer: It is so hard to pick just one. Psalm 121 is special to me. It was one I memorized and read during my pregnancy with Caleb. It was read at Peepaw's funeral as well. Here it is:

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Please leave your answer in the comments! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Psalm 103 is one of my mother's favorites. At age 91, she can still quote v. 1-5 from memory.
Mine, however, is Psalm 27! The whole Psalm is full of so many 'gems', but I'll only quote v. 1 here:
'The Lord is my light and my salvation -- whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life --
of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 103 is probably my favorite as well. I'm actually in the process of writing a devotional book based on this Psalm.
