Memory Verse #44

I appreciated the comments about last week's verse. It is convicting to read that we'll have to give account for "every careless word." The King James Version uses the word "idle." I liked reading this commentary on this passage. This makes me wonder how many of my words are careless and should not be said. I know I have a bunch of them!

This week's verse is an encouraging one found in I Chronicles 29:11:

"Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all."

I love this verse! It's part of a beautiful prayer of praise by David.
Happy Sunday to you & your family!

What a great verse! And, yes... everything is the Lord's! I find such great comfort in that. It reminds me of the song "Yours" on the latest CD from Steven Curtis Chapman. A powerful song!

Have a blessed week!
