Is it really already the 40th week of this year? That means we'll be celebrating the holidays soon. Are you ready for that?
Last week's verse made me think about my life. When I hear the word "ambassador," I think of a person who goes from our country to another country as a representative. That person works with people from the other country to try to convince them of something our country wants them to support. Have you ever thought of yourself as an ambassador for Christ? Wherever you go, you are "making an appeal" to everyone with whom you make contact. Are people convinced they want to know Jesus by seeing how you live your life? In this particular passage, Paul is speaking about reconciliation and how since we are new creations in Christ we have been reconciled to God. He wants the people to be ambassadors for Christ so that they will be reconciled to God.
This week's verse if another from I Corinthians. It is I Corinthians 15:57, 58--
"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
