We are already to the 30th week of 2008! Last week's verse was a really powerful passage I thought. When I stop to consider, really consider, all Jesus went through...all the physical pain and suffering.....and to think He did it for me......it makes me so much more thankful for all of that "opposition" He endured and makes me realize how thankful I am for that sacrifice. This verse also reminds me how little suffering I've had to face in my life compared to the ultimate sacrifice He gave. It is a struggle we all face against sin as the verse says. But we can be encouraged and find strength as remember what Christ gave for us.
This week's verse is Jude 1:24, 25. This is the memory verse for the summer Bible study on The LPM blog.
"To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy--to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power, and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen."
