Hello everyone, Good morning on this lovely brisk morning!
This song has been in my head the past couple of days. I tried to find a link that plays the song to post here. This one has a short blurb of it and you can read the lyrics. It is called Joy of the Lord by Twila Paris.
Today I'm thankful for....
*my husband who willingly does stuff with our son. This week he took him Christmas shopping and kept bragging on what a big boy he was going to the store. Also, they are always doing something together in the evenings when I get out of my shower.
*my son and how his smile is so bright and contagious.
*the joy God puts in my heart. I am so thankful that we can have this joy no matter what is going on around us.
*great books that challenge, strengthen, and encourage me.
*being able to stay home and get things done today. JMP needed to take the car today because his truck was sounding funny. Hopefully nothing major is wrong. I have other things on my to do list that I need to do in town. It is nice to stay home again and hopefully mark some more things off my list.
You can read from other TT participants this week by visiting Laurel Wreath.

Father son time is special!! What a blessing of a husband you have. I hope there is nothing major wrong with his car (especially around the holidays).
have a wonderful day!
Wonderful post, such an encouragement!
I love that verse from Nehemiah. It is great to cross things off your to do list :)
Blessings on you as you continue to enjoy the joy of the Lord! I love Twila...
Amen to the joy we experience despite the circumstances around us!
I always get such a peaceful feeling when I read your blog. I know it's the peace that can only come from a true relationship with the Lord.
I remember when my son was growing up how my husband always did things with him. I think that is one reason my son has turned out to be the young man he is today.
You are such a precious blessing.
Thank you for your prayers. You have a wonderful list. God Bless!
I enjoyed reading your TT list. God bless you and happy Thankful Thursday!
I love Twila and what a great reminder today to rely upon the Joy of the Lord as our Strength!
Great list. My favorite was about the joy in your heart. There is no joy like that put in your by Jesus.
I also loved the Scripture. Nehemiah is a book with so much wisdom!
