We made an appointment for the carpet cleaners to come out today. First we considered renting a machine, but the cost difference was only about $10. Neither of us figured it was worth the time or the gas to make a special trip into town to pick up the machine and return it. JMP moved the couch into the kitchen so the living room was totally empty. It was really nice to have all the empty space today and remember how it was when we moved in. Caleb was sure having fun running from end to end in the openness.
Yesterday after naptime, I saw a big white mess on the floor under the bar. It didn't take long to figure out it was wax from a candle. I never thought about it burning over and dripping to the floor. Good thing the carpet cleaners were coming today. The guy told me an easy way to clean it myself too for future reference.
So now we have a clean floor and toys out of the living room. I wonder how long it will stay that way!
