A to Z Bible Verse Challenge Week #6

This week for the Truth from A to Z challenge over at The Happy Wonderer we have letter F.

For this week's letter F I have chosen the word FRUIT.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:15-20

What strikes me in this passage is "You will know them by their fruits."

Also I wanted to include a common, well-known verse about the type of fruit we should have in our lives as Christians:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22, 23

What fruit are you growing in your life?

Have a day of blessings! Bethany

Good morning Bethany. Great reminders of the right kind of fruit in a believer's life and how to spot False Prophets by their bad fruit! I appreciate your participation and it was good to read these verses.
