Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Do you think the pandemic has had any kind of positive impact on your mental health? Explain.
I had to read this question twice and catch the word POSITIVE.  I'd say one positive for me through this has been more prayer.  There are so many unknowns, but it is comforting to me to pray. I know I've probably prayed more and certainly about things I've never prayed about before during this time.

2. A hot mess, hot under the collar, in hot water, hot button, hot diggity dog!, hot shot, hot seat....choose one and tell us how it applies to your life currently.
Hot diggity dog.....A couple weeks ago we got Disney+ so Caleb could watch “Hamilton.”  (They are going to do a project about it in English.) As we were scrolling through the many shows, I saw Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and it reminded me of the song....“hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog.”  Caleb watched that show a little bit many years ago.

3. Speaking of the hot seat, do you work well under pressure or do you actively avoid high pressure situations? 

It depends what it is.  I prefer not to be in high pressure situations.  However, I do know that I have always put a lot of pressure on myself.  Not sure this is a good thing!  

4. Hotdogs-yay or nay? If you said yay how do you like yours? Did you know July is National hotdog month? 
They are okay periodically.  We have them when we are camping and usually on the 4th.  I did not know it was National Hot Dog month.  I like mine with a little mustard, chili, cheese, and onion. 
We had hot dogs when we were down at the river for Memorial Day.  Titus said he'd had three hot dogs and was not eating another one for 3 weeks.

5. I read here a list of America's coolest Southern towns. They are Marfa Texas, Greenville South Carolina, Abindgon Virginia, Athens Georgia, Bentonville Arkansas, Florence Alabama, Oxford Mississippi, Abita Springs Louisiana, Wilmington North Carolina, Monroeville Alabama, McMinnville Tennessee, Natchez Mississippi.  How many on the list have you seen in person? Which town on the list would you most like to see?
So many of these states on the list I haven't visited.  I looked through the pictures on the link and picked Wilmington, NC.

6.  Insert your own random thought here.
We took Titus shopping for school supplies.  We are supposed to start school August 20.  One month away!  I'm excited for him and have tried to answer all his questions the best I can about kindergarten.  He was so excited to shop for supplies.  He picked some football scissors and most everything else was blue.  He got to scan the items and put the cash in the machine to pay which was fun too.

I bought this set of pens for myself too.  I didn’t have most (several?) of these colors.

I was excited for the announcement today from UIL that we get to play football.  I realize that could change, but it was exciting news to hear!

I have mixed feelings about school starting.  It has been wonderful having the boys home since spring break.  I know I'm going to miss them!
