What's for supper this week?

Do you plan out your meals for the week? I like to, especially if I know we have somewhere to be that evening. I have several recipes that I make frequently and like to try out new dishes. Share your recipes if you have one! It works out so much better to have a plan for our meals. I remember before Caleb was born, before we moved to this town, JMP and I were both working. It was easy to run up to the local cafe and eat. We do miss that. They had delicious chocolate pie too! Making a plan saves money though!

Monday we had spaghetti. I needed something that I could prepare quickly and have ready before JMP had to leave for the sleep study.

Tonight I'm using the leftover sauce and hamburger meat to make Biscuit Pizza Bake. We have a picture at 6:20 for the new church directory.

Wednesday we'll go to church and I'm not positive at this moment what we'll have yet! Maybe pork chops.

Thursday JMP comes home and turns around and goes back to class so I like to have everything on the table (or close to it) when he comes in the door. Usually this means leftovers. I have a couple back-ups in case we don't have leftovers from the week, like little tubs of brisket (another sale item I found last week at H E B).

Friday's we most always go out to eat.

Saturday is a day I just figure out as we go! Sometimes we eat out or JMP will fix something on the grill. I found a recipe for hobo packs and want him to cook those for us sometime.

Meal planning

Yesterday I made a plan of meals for two weeks. I had already pretty much figured out this week so I went ahead and did next week also so I would know what to buy at the store today. Here are the main dishes.

Monday: Shepherd's Pie
Tuesday: BBQ Chicken (in the slow cooker)
Wednesday: Roast (another slow cooker item)
Thursday: leftovers
Friday: going out
Saturday: not positive but maybe a date night (hint hint Mom!!)
Sunday: lunch meal at church

JMP invited us to go along on an overnight trip next week so I guess I can scratch next Monday's and possibly Tuesdays, depending on what time we get back.

Tuesday: chili dogs
Wednesday: pork chops
Thursday: beef item (probably Mexican casserole)
Friday: going to my Mom's probably
