A new blog!

Months ago I kept thinking to myself I need to have a way to share all the kids books I read and love. Caleb and I read a ton of books. (Just ask my family....I'm odd about this and checking out our limit of books at the library so we'll have a selection throughout the week till it's library time again. Of course sometimes Caleb gets his favorite two or three, and we read them repeatedly through the week, which is fine as well.)

So I made a new blog where I have been only reviewing children's literature. It was first going to be only books published in the past couple of years, but there are "older books" in there too. I don't post everyday there because I just don't have that kind of time. (Actually what I usually do is get a few that I want to share and type all the reviews at the same time and set them to post on different days.)

My hope is that this can be a good resource for parents, grandparents, or teachers who are looking for good books to read with their children.

If you are a parent or love kids or just love children's literature, please visit my new blog:

Thank you for checking it out! Have a wonderful day!

And the winner is....

Congratulations to Mommyluann the winner of my blogoversary giveaway! I will be emailing her to see which gift card she wants.

Thank you to all who participated. I appreciate your support!

Special Announcement!

I realized the other day that my blogoversary is coming up soon! I didn't realize just how soon until I looked it up in my posts.

In honor of having this blog for one year, I'm going to have a little giveaway to say thank you to my readers. I have really enjoyed having this blog and I've "met" some wonderful ladies.

If you would like to enter my giveaway, leave me a comment to this post. In your comment please tell me one of my posts of the past year you enjoyed! I will contact you through your blog if you are the winner. Family members may enter as well (even those who don't have blogs). Just put your initials in your comment so I can identify you! Leave a comment anytime before July 11 at noon. I'll announce the winner on Friday, July 11.

And what does the winner receive? I will let you choose a $10 gift card to one of several locations: Sonic, Starbucks, Target, Walmart, Michaels, or Home Depot. I'm also going to add in a Study guide book called Encouraging One Another. It is in the Women of Faith study guide series. This is just a little something to say thank you to my readers!

This will stay on the top of my blog until the winner is announced. Leave a comment about a post you liked!

It's been a year!

I can't believe a year has already passed since I've been blogging. When I started, I thought it would just be something fun to do. I'd started reading blogs of friends and sometimes things would happen to me and I'd think to myself, "I could write about that if I had a blog." I really had no idea that anyone would read what I wrote though. I thought I'd have a couple friends who'd read it and maybe some family members. I didn't think random other people would care about my ramblings though! I had no idea the many people I'd "meet" through "blogland." It is most certainly an interesting place on the World Wide Web. I have found it to be a wonderful place to encourage and be encouraged, to teach and to learn, to grow and to be challenged, to rejoice and to bear one another's burdens.

It has been a blessing to me to have this blog. When I look at the comments I receive, they make me smile and they offer me encouragement. I hope my blog is a blessing to you and you gain something by reading it. Thank you for reading and I hope you'll continue to visit me!
