Christmas Board Books

If you have little ones you are shopping for this Christmas, I have two Christmas board books to share with you today.

My thoughts:
Both of these are very simple basic Christmas books.  The First Words of Christmas book has a labeled image on one page with a sentence about that image on the opposite page.  

The other book The First Christmas Night has a little more text.  It is done in a rhyming format of Twas the Night Before Christmas which young children will enjoy.  The illustrations are very calming and beautifully done.  I love this image of the shepherds.

Both of these would make great gifts or stocking stuffers for babies or toddlers.

My thoughts:

I love journaling and the format of this book is one I love.  The lines are the right width apart with an appropriate number per page.  There is minimal color or extra "frills" on each page which I appreciate in a journal.  I don't want half the page taken up with flowery art if I'm journaling!  

Every page in this journal has a quote at the top or bottom.  Here are a couple I liked as I was looking through it:

"Our weapons are the Word used in various ways.  We can pray the Word, speak the Word, sing the Word, and study the Word."

"God has a perfect plan for each of us, and we can't control Him with our thoughts and words."

This is a nice companion journal to Joyce Meyer's book Battlefield of the Mind (which I have not read) or you can just use it on its own.
