Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Thursday is National Walk To A Park Day. I know these celebratory days are mostly made up, but some are fun to think about. Do you live close enough to a park to walk to one on Thursday? Will you? The most famous park in the world is Central Park located in NYC. Have you ever been to Central Park? What did you think? If you haven't been is this a place you'd like to see? 

No I don't live close enough to a park to walk to one.  I do have a nice neighborhood to walk in though which I have been doing with these nice temperatures.  

I believe we went through Central Park when I went with my choir in high school to sing in Carnegie Hall. I don't really remember exactly! It seems like we saw a man there with a very large snake.

2. Something you've done recently that turned out to be a 'walk in the park'? 

I made rolls for our supper recently using the freshly milled flour.  It was my first time to do the entire process all on my own (my husband has been doing them).  It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, and they turned out good too.  

3. Can you parallel park? Do you have to do this often where you live? 

I don't know if I could or not.  Maybe if no one is watching.  LOL  I do not have to do this often here, and if I do I will drive around until I find another spot!  

4. The colors of fall...red, brown, russet, golden bronze, golden yellow, purplish red, light tan, crimson, orange red, and scarlet. Are these colors you like to wear? Is this your season in terms of color? What about your home? Would we see these tones in your home decorating? 

I love the colors of fall.  I have a few things these colors.  I did buy a very comfortable dress that is a shade of yellow and I love it.  

I have a few fall decorations out so you would see some oranges and browns on those.  I'm not a big home decor person!

5. What part of history do you find most interesting? Elaborate. 

I am fascinated by the life of the pioneers traveling across America, like Laura Ingalls Wilder type time period.  Things were so different then, and I like learning how the people in different time periods lived and faced challenges.  

6. Insert your own random thought here. 

We had a ladies supper at church last night.  We had quite the crowd.  The past few we have not had a very big turnout so it was exciting that we had a room full.  The hostessess almost ran out of baked potatoes too.  They were not expecting that many. It turned out very nice and was a fun evening.
