Book: Christmas in America
Today I have another children's book to share with you. It is called Christmas in America by Callista Gingrich with illustrations by Susan Arciero.
In this rhyming book we read of various things that happened through American history on Christmas. For example, Ellis the Elephant visits the expedition of Lewis and Clark, the national Christmas tree started by President Coolidge, and space with the Apollo 8 mission.
I did not know many of the things, and I think children will enjoy the rhyme and can learn about our history from this book.
I think the elephant is a cute little character. There is also an eagle on each page. The illustrations are well done in my opinion.
This seems like a book for a classroom or school library. There are other books in the Ellis the Elephant series.
I received this book from Hachette Book Group for my review. Thank you.
Have a day of blessings!
