Thankful Thursday

This week has gone quickly for me.  Caleb was home on Monday, and they started back to school on Tuesday.  We've had a nice week.  It's been chilly but the sun has been shining.  We may get rain tonight.

Today I am thankful for...
~ my husband's smile this morning.  It made me smile this morning before he went to work.

~ my boy being happy and excited about his return to school.  He was super-excited about his new reading teacher.  He liked the other one too (she retired) and the new one was his computer teacher last semester.  He is so excited about the things she has planned for the class and how she decorated the room.  He's been singing and so cheerful, I love that!

~  all our warm blankets.  It got down in the teens early in the week (which I know is still warm compared to what some places have had lately).  I was glad for having several blankets on our beds.

~  reading a good part of the day on Saturday.  We had taken Caleb to the deer lease, and I mostly read while I was there. I finished a book (reviewed earlier this week) and started another one.  It was a pretty day too, and I took a walk around an area of the camp with my husband which was nice.

~ enjoying the routine of getting back to normal this week after a wonderful Christmas break.  I loved the 2 weeks Caleb had out of school.  It didn't feel rushed and we all enjoyed it!  This week as I was doing my regular things I thought how I'm thankful I can do these things for our family and enjoy the tasks at the same time.

Have a day of blessings!

Great list! I, too, am grateful for returning to routine. I love the breaks for holidays, but crave the normality of routine as well. Have a blessed week.

I like your peppermint blog background! Your son Caleb is growing up! 4th Grade? I will have to check out the book you mentioned. I've had more time to read this year. Bless you!
