It's hard to believe we're to the beginning of a new month coming up this week. For March I've chosen the theme of HUMILITY for my verses for each week.
Right now I am listening to an audio book on humility (Humility: True Greatness by C.J. Mahaney). I'm excited to share my review of the book with you in the coming days. So lately I've been thinking a lot about humility, being humble, pride, etc.
This week's verse is James 4:10--
"Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will lift you up."
This is a verse that I'm familiar with but is one that sticks out in my mind about being humble. It really goes against our selfish nature to live humble lives, yet that is exactly what Christ wants us to do. He was the ultimate example to us of humility.
Please remember the following people in prayer today and this week.
~ Debra, one of our dear blogging friends.
~ the family of the Sea World trainer who was killed this week. This story just makes me so sad.
~ continued prayers for Harlan in his recovery and his wife as she cares for him.

standing in prayer agreement. Thanks for posting this. Sarah
A comforting song, sung in a round forum, is HUMBLE YOUR SELF IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP, HIGHER AND HIGHER, AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP.
I have not heard it or sung it in years, but now I can't get it out of my head :)
Just stopping by to wish you a happy week. I've been in Fla., & away from a computer for almost 2 weeks, so am playing 'catch-up' this week.
Blessings, Susan
Love your very yummy & cheerful new background, by the way!

Thanks for another good post and for the prayer requests.
Living a humble life before God...thank you for this reminder...God bless.
Humility goes counter to our culture. I think it is possible to be proud and still be humble, but it is a fine line. It depends on what you are proud of or about. For sure humility should be the goal of every Christian. Thank you for this thought provoking post.
Blessings,
Charlotte
