It's time again for "As long as it is called Today" as we encourage one another as Christian spouses. I hope you will join me in July each week on Tuesdays as we encourage each other in our daily lives as Christians, spouses, parents, and home keepers.

Now for this week's question: Share what you do to care for each other when you are sick.

Now for this week's question: Share what you do to care for each other when you are sick.
My answer: My husband and I are both rarely sick. He is a great support though when I don't feel well. He will cook supper or do laundry. One of the hardest times I had doing things was recovering from my c-section after Caleb was born. He was so great about changing Caleb and doing everything he could to help with him. Knowing I can count on him gives me such comfort. This week I'll get to care for him in his recovery.
Thank you for participating. I look forward to your ideas of things you do when you have a sick spouse. Maybe we can all learn something new to try to cheer up our spouses when they aren't feeling well.

My dear lovebug should have his doctor degree by now, he is such a wonderful caretaker.
When my hubby is sick, I try to make sure he is not disturbed when he is sleeping so he can get the rest he needs. If there's something he wants to eat or drink, I try to make sure I get what he needs and make it for him. I just try to wait on him as much as possible, getting him what he wants and needs. I pray for him as well - sometimes I pray aloud with him other times I am praying silently for him.

I enjoy your blog. I hope you will read my post today about "Caleb" from the Bible since you mentioned you have a Caleb too.
You are a good wife and "nurse." Your husband is blessed in having you as you are him. I will say a prayer for him today. I think he will need a lot of ice cream for several days--maybe weeks.
