It's time again for "As long as it is called Today." June has five Tuesdays so today will be the "special" category that we don't get to have each month, memories. I hope you will join me in July each week on Tuesdays as we encourage each other in our daily lives as Christians, spouses, parents, and home keepers.

Today's question: Share a funny summer memory.
My answer: We went camping sometimes in the summer. My cousin who is 9 years younger than me was with us. One night I got so tickled at her in the night....she had rubbed her nose with the palm of her hand, moving her hand around and around in a circle. I can still picture her doing it in my head. I'm not sure why it was so funny, but I started giggling. She didn't think it was that funny! I have tons of funny memories with my cousin. We did a lot of silly stuff on camping trips!
I look forward to reading your funny summer memories. Have a super summer day!

A summer memory....going to my grandma's house...
We would lay on the big hill and look at clouds or go 'exploring' through the yard or even play (old school...like duck hunt) Nintendo. It was always fun and always too short!!
God bless!
Amanda
Bless you my friend, you are loved.
Every summer for many years we went to Sierra Bible Camp. This particular year, my room-mate from Abilene Christian was our speaker. He had planned to be at Disneyland for the big fireworks display to celebrate our Country's birthday. He was having to miss that because of camp. So we looked forward to going down to the lake and watching the fireworks from across the lake that a little mountain town was putting on. All of the campers and staff gathered around the lake, waited and looked. All we ever saw was a few small--very small lights flash in the distant sky. Everybody was disappointed but we laughed and rolled on the ground. (You had to have been there)
So many things come to mind.........I remember staying at the state park in a cabin and during the hottest time in the afternoon we would stay inside in the coolness and play games and each make a "head dress". Then on the last night we were there, we would build a fire outside and do our Indian dance around it!! (and the "cousin" you mentioned was always there!!)
Momma, That is the other one I was thinking about including too!
When we were all young, we would have family reunions at my Grandma's. She had a HUGE backyard and we would catch fireflies!! It was so fun with all the cousins.
A few years ago, I noticed we had fireflies and it brought back fond memories!!
This is a great question for this month!
Thank you!
