As long as it is called Today: Christian parents (June)

I'm glad you're here for "As long as it is called Today." Our focus on the third week of the month is to encourage one another as Christian parents. I hope you will join me each week on Tuesdays as we encourage each other in our daily lives as Christians, spouses, parents, and home keepers.
Be sure to read the answers to last week's question or leave an answer.
Today's question: Share something you do to make traveling fun for kids.
My answer: Caleb was amazing during all our traveling over 2000 miles this past week. He read a lot of books. When he'd need something else we'd sing. One time we looked for things of a specific color as we were driving.
Thanks for stopping by. Please leave your answer in the comments. Be blessed today!

Well, we watch a lot fo DVD's. But I do try ti limit it to Veggie Tales and Mighty Machines.

When that is a no go we play I Spy. Or we sing. (Or I sing and the kids beg me to stop)

I can't wait until the boys can read and let their imaginations soar on car rides!

God bless-
Amanda

Well, we sometimes play...eye spy or name that licenses plates and then others times if we are in the RV we play actual games. When I was a little girl my Mother & I would sing together when we traveled that was always fun.
God Bless you & your family this week!!!!

We try to just watch out the windows. There are so many exciting things to see, from ponds to train yards, wind mills to cows, buses, trucks with ladders, and trucks pulling trucks, police cars, fire trucks, and workers fixing the road. We're driving 9 hrs to Colorado for 4th of July and I might make a map for Eli to follow some of the things we'll see along the way. And as the kids get a little older we might start playing car bingo. Sometimes we set up the laptop to play a movie but we try to avoid that if we can.
