2009 Book #7: This Side of Heaven

I finished another book on Tuesday. I am a huge fan of Karen Kingsbury so I was excited to see her newest book on the list at our library and quickly put my name on the waiting list for it. It is called This Side of Heaven. (Don't you just love the sweet picture on the cover of this book!)

Josh Warren is waiting for the settlement from a terrible accident that caused injuries to his back. As he waits he holds on to the hope that he will someday meet the little girl he feels is his daughter although most people, even his family, don't believe him.

After a terrible tragedy, Annie and Nate (Josh's parents) learn more about their son and his true character.

I don't want to say too much to give away too many details. Let me just say this is a wonderful book! As always with Karen Kingsbury books, I learned some valuable lessons. Appreciate the people in your life for who they are. Don't try to make them someone or some thing they are not. Just accept and love them as they are. Look for the good in people and let them know you love them always.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (This is one of the verses referenced in the book.)
Oh my goodness. My MIL and Sister-in-law are completely enthrawled with those books. I want to pick one up but am afraid I won't get anything done once I get into them. I'm passing the new title along to them, however, I'm sure they are already aware.
Yes, I did receive your email and I really appreciated you taking the time to write. I have an interesting history with CofC. I'll have to tell you about it someday. You really should check out the book from Smiling Sal. I have received three great books from her giveaways. http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/
