Last week's verse is such good advice, don't you think? If people really lived by this, so many problems would cease. If we kept our noses out of other people's business and stayed busy rather than being idle, I think the world would be a better place. Think about the people you respect. What kind of work ethic do these people have? They are hard workers and do things to better themselves. I think this is a good verse to remember in how we live our lives.
This week the verse is Matthew 12:35, 36--
"The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brights evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken."

Hello! Nice to meet you! Thank you for visiting my Power of Prayer blog!
Katherine
This reminds me of the scripture that says "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." (That may not be the exact quote.)
I pray for the election every day. This is such a critical one. Of course they all are, but I think this one is more-so.

This is a good verse. When I finish writing this to let you know that I read it and that I am thinking about it and that your efforts are worthwhile, I am going to get up, get a Bible and study "every careless word." This is serious business. All of a sudden I am interested in the meaning of "careless."
Great Verse and very fitting in light of what has been on my heart. We are still praying and seeking God for His direction. I am amazed at His provision for us. No I am not...He has never ever not met our every need! I should say I am in Awe of Him in His provision for us. Keep praying for us. I treasure your every word on our behalf. Blessings.
