Thankful Thursday

It's time for Thankful Thursday again. It is always neat to watch the list of participants as it grows throughout the day. I've found it is a fun way to meet new bloggers as well! I'm so thankful for this group who gives thanks each week!

Today I'm thankful for...

*my husband's knowledge and abilities. I was really proud of his work as he prepared maps of the state as Hurricane Ike was coming. The maps showed it's projected path and their local offices as well as projects that were in that path. The maps were sent to the office in Washington, and he received compliments from them on details he thought to include on the maps. It made him feel good, and I'm proud of him too!

*seeing the love my son gives to others at church and wherever he goes. He has certain people at church he is always so excited to see. They always look forward to his hugs too!

*our home, electricity, and hot water. So many are without these things right now.

*the wonderfully beautiful weather. It has felt a tad bit chilly first thing in the morning this week. Our home has felt cool in the morning. We have been turning off the AC again. The days are shorter.

*Oreo cookies!! (Dipped in milk of course!) It's fun to share this "tradition" with my son.

I hope you realize all the reasons today you have to be thankful. We take so many things for granted. Thank you for stopping by today. Be blessed!

I loved reading your post, especially praise for your husband. We are to honor our men and you did a great job of it! He did a great job and deserved those kudos, from others but especially from you. And oreos are always better when shared, aren't they? Have a great TT!

May I please come over for the oreo cookies dipped in milk? Mmm! That sounds SO GOOD! Haven't done that in years.

Thanks for the book suggestions. I'll take a look at B&N - one of my favorite places to hang out - when I go to B'ham this weekend. My grandson is getting baptized Sunday (8 years old).

I'm sorry I haven't gotten your package mailed off yet. Getting sick was not in my plans! I'm going to take everything to Missy's this w/e and mail it from there.

Have a blessed weekend.

That is a wonderful list. You should be proud of your husband and son. Thanks for reminding me about the simple things like electricity that we take for granted. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog. I hope to posting about the art show soon...
