We're already to week 36 and the beginning of September! Wow!
Lately I've felt like God is showing me the awesomeness of His creation through the verses that have been in front of me, just like last week's verse. I just stand in awe of Him and His creation. Last Wednesday evening at church our final guest speaker of the summer spoke on God's awesome world. One of his verses was the memory verse I had for week 34. He put together a slide show of pictures taken from the Hubble telescope. One compared the size of earth to the sun. He had some pictures taken of other galaxies as well. For the end of his lesson, he talked about the whirlpool galaxy. Now take a look at this picture taken of the center of the whirlpool galaxy. How amazing is that? He said maybe God knew that eventually we'd be able to see the center of it and left it there as a reminder to us. I like that!
Can we even fathom the greatness of God who simply spoke and there was light? It is so hard to put into words how awesome it is to think about how He had it all planned out and created the vastness of the heavens. We have made so many technological advances, and yet we still know so little about what is really out there in space.
Here is this week's memory verse, totally different from the past two weeks! It is I Peter 5:8,9--
"Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you that that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering."
Have a blessed week!

We serve an awesome God! How can we boast of anything when we look at photos like this.
