Friday Favorites: Songs of Encouragement #4

I have chosen a song by Casting Crowns for this week's favorite song of encouragement. It is called "Praise You in This Storm." It is a popular song. You can read the lyrics here and watch the video if you like.

One time I read a story of this song being played at the burial of a baby twin. To me this song speaks of hope. I think sometimes as Christians we just expect God's answer to our prayers to be yes and answer our needs immediately. This isn't always His answer though. Sometimes He says no or wait. Our human minds have trouble understanding these answers when we think in ourselves that yes is best. This song is a good reminder that whatever storm we are going through to continue to praise Him. It reminds me of the verse in Philippians 4:4 that says "Rejoice in the Lord always." Whatever we go through, He wants us to have an attitude of praise to Him.

Have a good weekend. Praise the Lord in whatever you face! (saying this to myself too as we are facing a water leak problem!)
