It is time again for Thankful Thursday. A song I've thought about some this week is "This is the Day." When we feel weighed down by our daily routines or the extra demands placed on our schedules, if we stop and remember WHO made the day and rejoice in that, our hearts will feel lighter.
Today I am thankful for...
*my husband's wonderfulness. I made a list of the top 20 reasons I love him. He truly is a blessing. I'd encourage you all to make your own list of 20 things you love about your husband. It will bless you and him!
*remembering "early days" of our sweet boy. He loves to hear stories about when he was just a baby and I enjoy telling them!
*protection while driving. We saw a serious wreck this week as we were coming home from Walmart. It apparently had just happened as the emergency vehicles had not yet arrived. It made me thankful that we were safe. At times like that I always think of God's protection and how it could have easily been us if we hadn't done one little extra thing at the store or if I had turned at this corner instead of driving around the block.
*the wildflowers. I love seeing the colorful roadsides. I hope to see more color in the coming weeks.
*extra stamps. I send out quite a bit of mail so I go through stamps quickly! I was excited to get some stamps from my Meemaw because she had extras.
Thank you for coming to my blog today. I hope you will leave a comment and also come back to visit. I look forward to reading what you are giving thanks for today! Happy Thankful Thursday to you! You will be blessed if you read the other TT postings by visiting Sting my Heart. The group of participants is really growing! It's very exciting to me to "meet" new people and see the new names on the list each week. I'm thankful Iris has this each week.
On a side note.......I have a poll over on my sidebar if you'd like to answer the question. It's very easy, check yes or no.

Thank you for your uplifting blog today. It really is encouraging! :)
Your blog makes me smile, bless you.
You have such a great list! Protection while driving---especially when you see something bad---is one we don't stop and thank Him enough for! Thanks for that reminder! As much as I am on the road I am thankful that He never takes His eye off of me.
Thanks for that TT post that sure lifts a load off my day!
What a wonderful list of blessings. :) Happy TT.
Yes, God's protection is wonderful - I see at least 3 wrecks each week on my to and from work. I have the same thoughts as you when I see those wrecks.
Making a list why I love my husband is a great idea. Maybe I make it 25 items, since we will be married 25 years next month.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Blessings to you and yours...
I enjoyed reading this! Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!
Happy TT to you!
Hey that is a great list of things to be grateful for. I loved the scripture you concluded with.
God is soooooooooooo Good and I want to make Him glad♥
I like your list today. Thanks for sharing it.
I should probably do a list for Joel. :)
What was the dress code when you worked as a teacher? I cannot get anyone to give me a straight answer.
We're seeing alot of those wildflowers where we are, too, and I also consider them such a blessing! A wonderful reminder from God that spring is here and all things have a "new beginning".
I love the idea of making a list about your DH. You are Blessed.
I loved you list. Happy TT.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
We had snow today - really pretty, even though we are really ready for Spring.
Happy TT!
Safe travels is something that we can sometimes forget to say thanks for. I've been on the road a lot this week and will continue tomorrow (Friday).
Thanks for your sweet anniversary note to hubby and I this week.
I took your poll. I still have a LL, although I know quite a few folks that have given theirs up.
I always think of God's blessing when I see car accidents, too.
I was driving home last week, after a horrible day, in tears, when I came upon an accident with a terribly smashed car.
I realized that my bad day paled in comparison and that my reasons for being upset were minute, really. I thought of that other person in the car and felt for them. And then I decided that even with all of my bad day hoopla, I was still very, tremendously blessed.
God Bless you today!
