Since I won't be blogging the next few days, I wanted to write today about what is coming up for us this week. One thing I realized yesterday is that Caleb will be 3 1/2 tomorrow!
On Wednesday, February 13, it will be 10 years since JMP asked me to be his Valentine. We were talking about it last night, and he said it might be the 15th we should remember since he had to wait till then for me to say yes! We were eating lunch after chapel and he gave me a Valentine card he had made. I still remember how extremely happy beyond words my heart felt! The previous week we had gone on a walk around our campus, and he had shared stories with me from his childhood. It was so comfortable to be together. I felt so special that he would share his personal life with me. The funny thing is that we when he gave me the card we were both going our separate ways to go home for the weekend. He told me I just told him thank you that day and then Sunday when we got back I told him yes, I'd be his Valentine.
It is hard to believe it has been 10 years. I mean that sounds like such a long time. I'm so, so thankful that JMP was brave enough to ask me to be his Valentine. We've had some downs like any couple has but mostly ups. I could never have dreamed up him or what a wonderful blessing he is to my life. My Mom once said that he was the type of guy every Mom prays for her daughter to find.
Have a great week; I'll talk to you again later this week!

I love this post :0) Brings back memories of my hubby's and my first Valentine Days together while in college :)
My husband and I often reminisce of our first years together. It's amazing how much life can change in just a few years. I hope you and your husband continue to grow in love and devotion for eachother!
Since you won't be around on Thursday, I wish a very memorable and Happy Valentine's Day!!!
How sweet!!!
The first blooming of new love !
Happy Birthday, Anniversary and Valentines Day!
This is 10 years for Joel and I as well. I was suggesting that we sit and watch Veggietales together in honor of our VDay parties. He didn't go along with it.
