Thinking about 2007

I would consider 2007 a wonderful year for our family. I was thinking back over this year and looking through my journal to remember some of the things that happened. Here are some of the highlights I found.

JANUARY:
--We got DSL instead of dial up.
--We had several days of ice so JMP was home with us most of the week.
--Somehow I hurt my neck (in my sleep, how crazy is that!) and it gave me some problems for a couple of weeks.
--The sad news of little Catie's death. I "met" her family through Audrey's Umbrella. I cried and cried when I found out she'd died.

FEBRUARY:
--A funny thing Caleb said to me: I told him I was going to exercise. I asked him what he would do while I was exercising (meaning what activity he wanted to do for a little bit) and his answer was "laugh."
--We celebrated my 28th birthday. My boys got me a Kitchen Aid mixer. I was surprised!

MARCH:
--JMP turned 28 this month. We bought him a new office chair. Caleb will still talk about the UPS man bringing Daddy's chair.
--We went to Austin with JMP. Before we left we had to have a tire changed because of a flat. When we were nearly home another tire had a flat. JMP changed it with the help of a man who stopped. Caleb and I walked across to the side access rode. He of course had to pee when we were out there, which was a first for me to do with him!

APRIL:
--We had snow on Easter. It was so beautiful and I got pictures of Caleb in the bluebonnets.
--In national news there was the shooting rampage at Virginia Tech.
--Two of my buddies from AU died this month.
--We had a garage sale and Caleb had his own bake sale to raise money for the Light the Night walk.

MAY:
--We had fun going to our local farmers' market. Caleb was excited about this just like I was.
--I resigned my position on the local private school board.

JUNE:
--We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary.
--We vacationed in San Antonio. I got strep throat on the trip too. I don't think I'll ever forget that.
--We started volunteering this month (I think it was in June!) at the food pantry.
--Caleb took swimming lessons for the first time.

JULY:
--We went to the 4th of July parade, which is something else Caleb still talks about.
--We went to VBS at church.
--My 10 year high school reunion was this month. I thought it was a success and I enjoyed seeing my old friends.

AUGUST:
--Caleb had two Bob the Builder birthday parties...one with friends from church and one with family.
--I finished an online class for continuing ed. credit.
--I got a clothesline.

SEPTEMBER:
--We went to the West Texas fair in Abilene.
--I participated in my first Beth Moore Bible study called "Breaking Free."
--Our family had a reunion.

OCTOBER:
--We visited family in Lubbock one weekend.
--JMP and I went to a Casting Crowns concert.
--Caleb was a big truck for Halloween.
--Our family walked for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of Peepaw.

NOVEMBER:
--Caleb got sick in the night and threw up. It was the first time he'd done this. :(
--Thanksgiving
--We rang the bell the first time for the Salvation Army at the end of the month.

DECEMBER:
--We made a gingerbread house at the library.
--I had my first fender bender.
--We enjoyed a fabulous Christmas together.
