Light the Night Walk

Over the weekend I went with my family to the Light the Night Walk. It is an annual fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This was our second year to participate. We walk in memory of Peepaw. They said they raised over $300,000 this year. Our team raised over $700. Caleb took his bucket of money he earned from his bake sale and gave it to the lady at the table. He knew the money was for the Walk, and I told him it was to help people when they were sick.

On the Walk we passed the oncology unit at a children's hospital. The children were standing at the window waving as we went past. It was very touching.

We had a fun trip there and back. Caleb was so tired (we all were) on the way home. He fell asleep in his ice cream cone. When we were putting his pajamas on it he opened his eyes and said, "I just want my ice cream" and went back to sleep.

If you'd like to donate, there is still time. Here is the link to donate online or you can email me and I'll send you the address to mail a check. Thanks!

I love that verse! I used it in a post recently as part of the prayer for my daughter.
