Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. April 13th is National Scrabble Day...are you a fan? Do you enjoy word games in general? What's an eight letter word that tells us something about your life currently?
Yes I am a fan of Scrabble.  I play Words With Friends daily.  And yes I enjoy word games in general and guess I always have. I play Wordle and Quordle every day.

ETA:  I almost forgot to add my 8 letter word about my life....
BASEBALL
Titus has usually 2 games per week.  It is fun to watch him play.  They had team pictures and I realized how tall he is, he is the tallest on the team.  He's gotten some good hits, plays shortstop, and is having a fun time!

2.  Do you have a junk drawer? Is it full? Do you know what's in it? What's in it?

Yes, probably more than one!  haha!  I cleaned it out a while back but it's probably time to do that again.  I ~think~ I know what is in it....It has packing tape, regular tape, old camera batteries, old birthday candles.  And the rest I don't know!

3. When does time pass quickly for you? When does it pass slowly?

Time passes quickly it seems when we are away on vacation.  It passes slowly when I'm particularly excited to give someone a certain gift!

4. These eight vegetables are in season during spring-asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, celery, collard greens, garlic, herbs. What's your favorite? Any on the list you refuse to eat? Last one on the list you ate?

I love broccoli and often get it as my side when we eat at a restaurant.  I don't think I've ever had collard greens and have no desire to try it!  I probably ate broccoli last from this list.  Sometimes I eat celery or carrots with a dip but not often.

5. What's the oldest thing you own? Tell us about it.

The first thing that came to mind was a spoon that my great grandmother gave me.  It was her spoon when she was a little girl.  It has a log cabin on the top of the handle.  She wrote about it and gave it to me when she was still alive.  It is in my hope chest, not easily accessible or I'd take a picture.  I don't know how old it is off the top of my head.  It is a treasure to have it.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Today we are celebrating our 8 year old, Titus.  We are taking him lunch at school and he got to take a treat for his classmates.  After school we will give him his gifts and eat cake.
We will have a skating party with friends and family on Saturday.

Have a day of blessings!

First off, Happy Birthday to Titus.

Baseball is a great 8-letter word - I wish I had thought of that. I love to follow baseball.

Happy Birthday to Titus! Baseball in Spring took a lot of our time when our sons were young! Great 8 letter word. That spoon sounds cool. Have a great rest of the week!

Word games are great for your mind. I'm glad Titus is having fun playing baseball. I definitely have more than one junk door. Lately is seems like they are all junk drawers! Like your answers for #3 on time passing quickly and slowly. I feel the same way about collard greens. What a sweet treasure from your grandmother.
Happy 8th Birthday to Titus!! Where has the time gone?

I enjoyed your answers. I love those word games too. I haven't played words with friends in awhile. I should try it again. I actually haven't played wordle or quordle in awhile either.
