Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Did you celebrate St. Patrick's Day in some way? If so tell us how. Are you a fan of corned beef? Cabbage? The color green?
Not really.  I had bought a shirt for Titus at the consignment sale that said "Pinch Proof."  He ended up not even wearing it because we were at home for the day and didn't get dressed (our last day of spring break).  I've never had corned beef.  I like cabbage if it's cooked right.  I like the color green in nature but not in my home much.

2. March 22nd is National Goof Off Day...will you celebrate? Your favorite way to goof off? Last time you had a whole day to spend 'goofing off'?

I didn't know this was a day!  I don't need another "goof off" day since we are just coming off spring break!  We had some nice relaxing days at home (as mentioned in #1) and I have some laundry to catch up on this week after  busy days Monday and Tuesday.

My favorite way to "goof off" is to read, preferably somewhere we've gone in our camper.

3. Something on your to-do list that has been there more than a month? Will this be the month you finally cross it off?

I have some thank you notes from the fundraiser dinner that I need to finish doing my part and then get Caleb to do his part.  They are on the counter to remind me to do them.

4. In your opinion, what emotion is the most beneficial? Which one is the least useful?

I read this question last night (Tuesday) and came back to it today.  Interesting because on Instagram today I saw a post from author/speaker Jennie Allen asking questions to her readers about emotions. I feel I've learned a lot from my husband about emotions and expressing them.

One huge one for me that is beneficial is gratefulness.  Having a grateful heart is life changing and life giving.

One of the least useful is worry.  I've always been a worrier but what does it accomplish?  Nothing!

5. What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Elaborate.

I loved to play school.  My Dad hung a small chalkboard on the closet door and I had a music stand I put my books on to teach my "class" of invisible students.  I had a grade book too.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Our spring break was so nice and relaxing.  We did not have anything special planned other than my husband's birthday. We took him cake/balloon to his office and out to eat supper.  I enjoyed having time at home with Titus.  We played our favorite game we check out from the local library and another day played Monopoly (one of his favorites).

Have a day of blessings!

Sounds like a great Spring break with Titus. Fun memories from your childhood. Hope you can tackle those thank-you notes and tick them off your list. Happy Spring!

My sister and I loved to play school too, and so did my own daughters. My youngest asked for an over head projector for her 10th birthday, and hubs office was switching from projectors to white boards so they let him have one. She absolutely loved it. And she eventually became a teacher : ) Have a great day!

I definitely agree with you on gratefulness and worry. Good ones! I had my 8 ad 13 year old grandgirls for their Spring Break. We did a lot of goofing off and made a lot of memories!

I love to saute cabbage. I like your favorite way to goof off. Being grateful sounds wonderful I agree, I'm a worrier and it does me no good. How cute that you loved to play school. Sounds like a great Spring Break. Hope your week is going well.
