Wednesday Hodgepodge

It's always fun to join in the Hodgepodge and I have time today to answer the questions!

1. Something you've done recently that required you giving 110% ?
The first thing that came to mind was organizing a pizza party for our Big/Little football program.  Varsity players are matched with a K-5th grade boy.  The Littles met their Bigs at a pizza party.  I was doing several other football related things on top of that so it was a lot!

2. What task-sport-chore-hobby-activity have you participated in or completed, that if judged, would land you a perfect 10?
I'd say chairing the encouragement committee at church.  I make mistakes on addresses/birthdays but I feel I do a good job at preparing the list to encourage and sending it to the other ladies each month.

3. What are ten of your favorite things right now?
* Friday night lights
* toothless smile from my favorite 1st grader (He's missing both his top two front teeth.)
* listening to audio books while I do chores
* our floppy eared dog....one ear perks up and the other doesn't and it's so cute!
* lunch dates with my husband
* quilting
* sweet watermelon tea
* shopping at Aldi
* tomatoes from the garden
* monthly menu meal planning

4. Nine times out of ten I _________________________.
make a list of tasks I want to complete each day and mark them off as I go

5. Where were you when the world stopped turning, twenty years ago this week?
Teaching 2nd grade....I believe the lesson was about plants.  It was my first year out of college, my first classroom. I was a newlywed also, we'd gotten married in June.

6. Insert your own random thought here.
This week I have not been as busy as the past few weeks, and it is so nice.  The holiday Monday was great too.  I got some sleep which was helpful.  We will have our 3rd football game on Friday.  It seems every week I hear of another school around here whose game is cancelled because of Covid in the school or on the team.  I told Caleb to enjoy every game and give it his all because we never know how many we will get to play.

Have a day of blessings!

I love the age of the toothless grin too. I am a big list maker too. Lists are not nearly as satisfying online as they are on paper. Nothing like seeing many things with a line drawn through them at the end of the day : )

Yes I imagine arranging that pizza party was a lot of work. I like your list of 10. I like making lists. Glad you had some not as busy days. I wish Covid could come to an end. It is so depressing.
