I feel like I am staying very organized with so many different things going on right now that I'm working on and that makes me feel good. I could easily get overwhelmed, but I'm planning and staying on top of things as I need to do them. And reminding myself that it won't be like this for long. (And I'm going to miss it next year!)
2. An apple a day keeps the doctor away...are you doing your part? Red or green? Sweet or tart? Ever played the game Apples to Apples? Do you like apple pie? If so, ala mode or just gimme the pie?
I do not eat apples very often. Sometimes in the fall I do and dip them in caramel. Granny Smith are a favorite but if I'm dipping them in caramel any kind will do.
I don't recall playing Apples to Apples, it seems like I saw it played once maybe.
I do like apple pie. It reminds me of my Meemaw. When I first started dating my husband, she would find out when we were going to be passing through from college and she'd make him an apple pie. Ala mode isn't my favorite, just a warm slice is fine with me.
3. Tell us about a time recently where you 'upset the apple cart' or the last time someone 'upset your apple cart'?
When Caleb tested positive for Covid a few weeks ago, it really "upset my apple cart." When I first found out I thought of all we/he would miss. It turned out to be a blessing to have that time together and he was never sick or had any symptoms.
4. What are three words that come to mind when you think of September?
football
niece (her birthday)
fair (We enter the Creative Arts division each year. This year Caleb is showing his steer also!)
5. What are you most looking forward to this month?
Friday night lights! The first game was last Friday, and it was so much fun. Seeing Caleb run out with the American flag as they ran to the other end of the field, then he led them in prayer and went out to the middle as a team captain. I didn't take any pictures of him playing but got some of him with us after the game. And I loved it when the announcer said his name for his tackles. He had a big cheering section of family which was special too.
We are praying they get to have a normal season. As we drove up to the stadium Friday I told my husband we can't take one game for granted because we aren't guaranteed we will get to play the next week with things as they are now.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Caleb applied and was chosen as a senior rep for a local photographer. She took his pictures Sunday evening. It was so perfect and so fitting for him! He wanted pictures with his steer and by a hay bale with his gun. I'm so thankful he had this opportunity!

Now I want apples and caramel dip
Friday night lights sounds like fun and I hope you get a whole big season. Have a nice week!
Now that our trip to Milwaukee is over I feel some relief. Took care of saying our goodbyes to my brother. Yum on the caramel. I usually dip in PB. Yes, a positive for Covid would upset your cart. We just got tested today. Those are 3 good words. Enjoy the football games.
I too am trying to get and stay organized. The last couple days, I found the motivation to clean and do a couple tasks so that propelled me forward with organization.
How fun for him to be a sr. rep. I am so glad my girls are out of school. I'm sure this last year has been crazy to navigate.
