Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Is school back in session where you live? Is everyone in person or does your system still offer a virtual option? Are kids wearing masks? School starts Thursday here.  We are in person currently but things are changing fast it seems.  We are not wearing masks.

2. Something you still do 'old school'?
I like to use paper and pencil to take notes and keep a paper calendar.

3. One lesson you've learned in the 'school of life'?
Each child is unique and has different interests, strengths/weaknesses.

4. When you were in school did you pack a lunch or buy a lunch? Your favorite thing to see on the lunch menu or inside your lunchbox back in the day?
It seems like I would mostly buy a lunch.  It was always special when my Mom would pack my lunch.  I remember she would always fill it so full!  I could never possibly eat it all.  When we'd have a field trip or anytime I'd take my lunch I'd ask her to make a sandwich with "wonderful ham."  That's what I called the thinly sliced ham.

From the cafeteria I don't really remember a favorite.  At one point it was turkey tetrazzini (which was like chicken spaghetti).

5. August is National Family Fun Month. Tell me something fun you’ve done this month.
We had lunch for Caleb's birthday with family.  We waited till he was out of quarantine.  He picked to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings and we sat on the patio.

6. Insert your own random thought here.
It's been a good summer. It seems like we are the last school in our area that is starting. I have a senior and  a 1st grader.  I'm praying we have a normal year.

Have a day of blessings!

Wow! That's a spread, a senior and a 1st grader. A good prayer to pray for your kids that Joyce posted today. Happy Hodgepodge to you.

I'm glad they started and I hope it can continue that way. That variant is really causing issues and pray that it calms down. I'm with you on notes and I have a calendar on the wall and a pocket one. True, each child is unique. I'm glad you were able to celebrate Caleb's birthday. Oh my a senior and a 1st grader. I will pray for them.

I still like paper and pencil for a lot of things.
