Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. It's like my mama always said, "______________________________________________."
 Let your light shine!

She always told me this before I would leave for school and we would pray together in the mornings.

2. May 11th is National Eat What You Want Day. What will you be having by way of celebration?

I stopped and got a tea.  It's my splurge when I'm in town and it was happy hour too so it was half price.  We had some cookies after supper too.

3. Describe your idea of a perfect spring day.
It hasn't felt like spring the past few days here!  My perfect spring day would be a gentle breeze, about 75-80 degrees with the sun shining and working in the yard with my boys.

4. Success, fulfillment, growth, achievement...pick one and tell us how it relates to your life in some way, either currently or in days gone by.
The success of being elected to the school board is a dream come true for me.  It has been on my heart for so long.  The process of deciding to run, filling out the paper work, the campaign, and the election was such a great experience for me, and I know I would have regretted it if I had not tried.  It took courage on my part too to put myself out there and try something new.  It feels good to have tried and won! I’m excited about this opportunity!

5. I saw this going around on various social media sites and thought it would be fun to answer here. The last thing you bought on Amazon is your weapon in battle. How will you wield it?  (if you're not an Amazon shopper, then the last thing you bought online anywhere)

I'm not a big Amazon shopper.  I went back to my order and found it was last July that I ordered there and it included kid headphones for Titus for school.
I do order often from Walmart, things like detergent and toilet paper.

So not a very good answer for this question!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

We had a nice Mother’s Day weekend.  I made this table topper for my Mom.  I loved the yellow around the edge. This material was a pack of fat quarters I found at Tuesday Morning.I got it all made and my friend/teacher showed me how to do the binding. I hand quilted it with little swirly lines to look like the bees flying.

This week has been busy with end of school things.  Caleb had an academic banquet Monday where he got fall honor roll, academic letter, and academic patch.  We are proud of him!  He still has the FFA banquet and sports banquet. Titus will have his kindergarten graduation Friday. Also they do a special walk around campus where they get to walk with a graduating senior.

Have a day of blessings!
