Thankful Thursday

Happy rainy Thursday!  

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week so my question on FB this week was "who is a teacher you are thankful for and why?"  I like reading the responses.

This week I am thankful for...

~ my husband's constant encouragement through the process of this campaign for school board.  He has been so wonderful and encouraging to me when I get worried about something.

~ my big boy working hard, learning new things through that work, and earning some money.

~ watching my little guy play baseball.  It was sure a windy game with lots of dust!  It was fun to watch them though.  It's been a while since we had a game because none were scheduled last week and the one before was cancelled due to rain.

~ a special moment (I know the timing was planned by God) where I met a lady and the sweet words of encouragement she gave me.

~ a message from our sweet neighbor on Tuesday afternoon that she was at Rosa's and bringing us "taco Tuesday" meals for our supper.  It was a fun unexpected surprise!  

~ going to a "quilter's garden" on Saturday with my friend/mentor who is teaching me to quilt.  I was amazed at all of the beautiful quilts!
