I've reflected a lot this month a year ago.
2. March 31st is National Tater Day...your favorite way to have a potato? Given a choice would you opt for sweet, white, or red? How often are potatoes on your menu in one form or another? Ever been to Idaho? If not, is that a state you'd like to visit someday?
I do enjoy baked potatoes with butter, sour cream (or ranch dressing) and cheese. We have a local place that has a delicious potato loaded with chopped brisket that is really good.
In the past few years I have started eating sweet potatoes and I really like those too so I'd pick that.
We have potatoes a lot because it is something we all will eat. We had potato salad last week that my husband made to go with some bbq my neighbor shared with us. Caleb likes to make "deer lease fries" which is potatoes cut up and fried...a staple when we are at the lease. I like tater tots.
I have not been to Idaho and never thought about visiting there!
3. Last time someone or something 'rained on your parade'? Explain.
Yesterday I went to Joann to buy some fabric to add to my quilt. I had received a message that if I spent $15 before the end of the month I would get the $5 reward. I figured I would spend at least that and love a bargain! I checked out and found another coupon to use. Then after the transaction was completed I asked if it would add that purchase to my account since the coupon was scanned from my account. The cashier said no my specific code has to be scanned before finishing the transaction. I was disappointed not to get my $5 as I had planned! She helped the next customer and then said she would refund it and add it back for me, scanning my code so I would get the reward.
4. Put all your eggs in one basket, get cracking, nest egg, bad egg, good egg, egg on, have egg on your face, or walk on eggshells...choose a phrase from the list that applies to something in your life currently and tell us how or why.
Get cracking....I feel like I need to get my list made of what needs to be done before Titus' birthday. We are going to have a party at the park for him. I need to work on what we need to buy for that to eat and the pinata and games. Also we need to buy his gifts!
5. If I visited your home would I find a lot of baskets there? Something you like to keep in a basket? We had Easter baskets on the floor this week as Titus was helping me fill some eggs with candy/treats to take to the church egg hunt. I don't really have many baskets in the house. I have one in my bathroom where I keep books I am reading (I like to read in a hot bath).
I have a little basket where we store old newspapers in the laundry room and use those when we start a fire.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I've been meeting new people as I am going around neighborhoods to introduce myself as a school board candidate. It has been interesting to hear what people say. I've received a lot of support and people have thanked me for running.
On Sunday a man opened his door and his dog bounded out and attacked me! He was being playful but it definitely startled me. It was a very large dog, and he scratched my chest and nearly knocked me over. That was a first in my going door to door.

Good luck with the school board thing! Our current superintendent here (who I really like) went door to door and his mom even went out to ball fields. She and I had a very nice chat!
I'm sure it's fun to fill the Easter baskets with Titus.
Best of luck on the school board election. May you never meet another rambunctious dog while campaigning!
Happy Easter!
Good luck with the election!
That chopped brisket baked potato should delicious! Sorry you didn't get your discount but glad she helped you out after that customer. His birthday should be fun! I'm glad your door to door is going well, however that person should be more careful with his large dog.
Happy Easter!
I'm glad the checker made it work for you to get the $5 discount. I love discounts. Yikes about that big dog jumping on you. Ouch. Hope you win the election!
Good luck running for school board. I am glad you were not hurt. Happy Easter!
