Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Five years ago this month hubs and I relocated from New Jersey to the Palmetto State. What were you doing five years ago this month?
Five years ago my oldest was starting 6th grade and my youngest was 5 months old!  In some ways that seems so long ago, yet truly it has passed so quickly.  I went back to look at the posts from that time, it was nice to remember those days.

2. What was the last 9-5 job you worked? Tell us about it.
I have been a stay at home Mom since Caleb was born so I guess my last full time job would be a 2nd grade teacher.  It was at a small Christian school.

3. Plead the fifth, high five, take five, it's five o'clock somewhere, or the big 5-0...which number five phrase relates to your life in some way currently? Tell us how.
High five....A cute story from this week.  We visited a friend for Titus to play.  The kids were picking up toys and some were in a bin with handles.  Titus was going to put it back to the shelf and the little sister (a little over 18 months) was wanting to help.  It was so cute seeing Titus go slowly with the bin as she walked backwards to the shelf, and he was encouraging her in a sweet little voice.  Then when they got it he said "good job" and tried to give her a high five.

4. During this season of spending so much time at home, what distractions get in the way of being your most productive? Or have you been extra productive since this whole thing started?
It's been weird not having a set routine.  We've made a new routine I guess but very relaxed.  Looking on the internet for random things or on Facebook has always been a distraction. I've felt once school starts it will help me have more of a routine.

5. Give us a list here of your top five anything.
--FIVE favorite memories of the past FIVE months--
    a. brothers learning new things together....Caleb taught Titus to play marbles.
    b. celebrating Titus' 5th birthday with a very different celebration...his brother made him a birthday video of family and friends.
    c. camping in our RV a few times.
    d. celebrating my big boy turning 16 and getting his license.
    e. having my husband work from home.

6. Insert your own random thought here.
School starts tomorrow.  I'm praying for a wonderful year for my junior and kindergartener.
Titus got to meet his teacher on Saturday, Caleb picked up his schedule last Friday.

Have a day of blessings!

I hope your kids have a good year! I like your list...I need to make one like that. I feel like the world needs a little more gratitude and a little less complaining these days. I'm trying not to contribute to the latter, but sometimes it's a struggle. Have a great day!

Yes I went back and looked at posts too to see what was going on 5 years ago. That's a very sweet story with Titus. I like your five anythings! Hope the school year goes well for the boys.
