Thankful Thursday

It has been a busy week for us!  Last weekend was wedding weekend!  My husband's youngest brother got married on Saturday. We were pretty busy from Thursday through Sunday. Then we had VBS!

Friday they had rehearsal and then dinner at 6. It was a "fiesta" at my in law's home. Saturday morning we helped with the set up and decorating. The wedding was at 5:30.  Caleb was the Best Man and did a great job in his speech. He also liked decorating heir heat away car.

Saturday was our 17 year anniversary. We knew it would busy but it worked out that we got to go have lunch together. Caleb had gone to eat with a couple of the groomsmen and Titus went to a children's museum with my Mom and Russell.  So we went to eat lunch together at On The Border. Also, one time during the decorating I looked around and didn't see my husband. Then a little bit later he came in and had cupcakes for me. He'd snuck away to get cupcakes, that's something we often do on our anniversary.

We got home Sunday afternoon.  Then we went up to our church for VBS. The theme was "Shipwrecked."  My husband and I did the craft room on Monday and Wednesday.  Caleb was a crew leader

This week I am thankful for...
~ 17 years of marriage with my husband. He is a blessing to me!

~ seeing my older boy as he is worked at VBS. This was his first time to do this. He really enjoyed it and did a good job with the kids.

~ my little guy having fun at VBS. They did not have a specific class for those under 3 but did for the children of the workers. He liked the singing time and was so cute telling us the theme..... "When you  worry, Jesus rescues."  He'd repeat that to us over and over.

~ working at VBS with my husband. It's been a long time since we taught a class together.  One night we made journals and one night we made slime!

~ the wedding weekend going smoothly. We wee busy most of the time, but it was a nice weekend and special time.

~ getting to go to a continuing Ed class this morning. We did some art projects and ideas using 3 books by Oliver Jeffers.

Have a day of blessings!

Bethany, you do have a thankful heart! It was a busy week for you. And happy anniversary! It was fun to come and visit your blog. I've missed our group of bloggers from years ago. I am just getting back into blogging as I'm trying to finish my book.

Blessings and love,
Debbie
