Thankful Thursday

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6

Today I am thankful for:
~ my husband taking time off from work to go take lunch to our boy at school.  He's a great Daddy!

~ my sweet boy working on Mother's Day surprises for me.  He has been very secretive and banned me from entering the extra room where he was working on a project.  He has hidden something he made at his art class as well and yesterday came home with another surprise they made at school.  He told me, "You will love it."  I know I will sweet boy!  He made Mother's Day cards for the grandmothers (along with something else that turned out so cute!).  It was one of those fill in the blank type cards.  His answers were so funny!  He did one about me too with Daddy. 

~ more rain this week.  Our garden is liking the rain! I also liked Caleb open our back sliding glass door and sit in the doorway and watch it for a while as it came down.  Then he played in it on the back porch.  It was such a nice steady rain.  We are supposed to be getting more today (which may cause field day to be cancelled, but I told Caleb we'd have to have a good attitude about that too!). 

~ getting a new book in the mail from author Kathy Herman.  I was excited to find her latest book which is #3 in a series.  It's called Relentless Pursuit.  I will share a review here on my blog when I read it.

~ And this weekend as we celebrate mother's I am thankful for my Mom and the many other women who have had an influence on my life through the years.  Also I am extremely thankful to be a Mom!
