Surprise!

This week I found out I was the winner of the giveaway sponsored at Laced With Grace. I've been meaning to write about this during the week but time has slipped away from me! I was very excited to read the post that I was the winner. Here is what I won!

I have never been to a Women of Faith event and look forward to being able to attend. This is a blessing to win this prize, and I thank the team at Laced with Grace for this nice giveaway! I've looked at the schedule for 2009 and am not sure yet which event I'll be able to attend. I have to figure out the details....one of which is when my little boy will be starting school. (Did I just type that!!!) I am also excited that Stephen Curtis Chapman is on the schedule at these events.

I just wanted to say thank you and share with my readers this exciting blessing from my week. I realized after I did Thankful Thursday I should have included this!

Winner!

Last week I won another book from Mocha With Linda. I received the book called Me Myself & I AM today. It looks like fun. I have another survey type book similar to it. This is one where you write the book by writing the answers to the questions about your spiritual journey. It has thought-provoking prompts to ponder and write in your answer. Topics covered include: my childhood, my creed, belief shapers, best and worst of friends, my conversations with God, and I must confess. You should check out this little book. It is one I think would make a great Christmas gift to give this year.

Thank you Linda!

Awards and winning giveaways

I have been bad about not keeping up with the awards that have been passed on to me. I do appreciate when someone reads my blog and gives me an award. I think about who I will pass it on to and then don't get around to it! I've seen some blogs with their awards in the side bar. I guess I need a way to organize them. Plus I never know who I should pass them on to when I get one.

Today I received an award from Debra. I have been reading her blog for the past few weeks and really enjoy it. Thank you for this award.

To translate the gift from Portuguese to English, it means:"This blog invests and believes, the proximity"[meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' -being close through proxy] How awesome is that?? "They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate? Then let's try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text. Here are my choices, they are mostly blogs I've been reading recently: 1. Simple Expressions 2. Susan's Space 3. Michele's Morsels 4. I Am Mommy 5. Sting My Heart 6. Spiritually Unequal Marriage 7. The Fruits of the Spirit 8. Beloved Mama

Also, I forgot to mention that I won another giveaway! Two actually that I don't think I've written about. First was a book giveaway from Sister Sheri. I won the book Sisterchicks Go Brit! Sheri had posts this past week about The 23rd Psalm that were really a blessing.

This week I found out I was one the winners in Marsha's blogoversary giveaway. I won~ Sisterhood of Faith by Shirley Brosius. and a $10 Starbucks or Lifeway Gift Card. (I chose Lifeway.) Marsha is doing a series on Legacy that is wonderful, check it out!

It is so fun to win! When I see something I'd like to win I never think when I enter that I will really win. It's great! I need to come up with a giveaway of my own as a "pay it forward" kind of thing!

How crazy!

I won a book from Mocha with Linda a couple weeks ago. I received the book last week in the mail and am really looking forward to reading it. The book is called Love as a Way of Life by Gary Chapman.

Today I was looking at my inbox on Google Reader and saw the line "Drum Roll Please" and remembered Natalie was announcing the winner of her book giveaway. I was so surprised to see I had won this giveaway as well! It is funny to me that I rarely win anything and to win two books in such a short time span.

My husband says he'll have to build a new bookshelf for me if I continue to win giveaways!

Exciting news and being productive

First for the exciting news! I won a blog giveaway!!!!!! I had forgotten I'd signed up and saw my blog initials at To Know Him yesterday. There is a book exchange called "Pay It Forward" hosted by Overwhelmed with Joy. I've never participated before, but this particular giveaway was for Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I've always heard what a good book it is, so I signed up . I still can't believe I won the giveaway! Now I will be having my own PIF book giveaway. Stay tuned for details (probably later this month or early February).

It always makes me feel good to have a productive day. I got dressed quickly when JMP left for work this morning and did my work out. I did the two mile video on the Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone. I have several videos I use for workouts, and this is one of my favorites that I always enjoy doing. When Caleb got up I fixed breakfast and got a load of clothes in the wash. After breakfast he wanted to put up his tent. It was a sight I'm sure to see me putting the tent together. Daddy normally does it! Caleb hasn't had it up in a long time and was excited to have it out. I played in the tent with him for a little bit. I told him how much he has grown since the time he first got it (Christmas 2005). I got out the scrapbook for him to see. He said there's a baby. I told him that was him! He looks so different, we enjoyed looking through the pages together. I got my Avon order submitted also, got the clothes in, and we had lunch. Then we did Caleb's lesson. We're starting a new unit on winter and the letter Q (or QU really). Now it is nap time.

It was nice to hang the clothes out on the line today. I tried a couple times in the past few weeks, but it was too cold for me to hang them. I like hanging them in the morning and not waiting till afternoon because it gets dark so early and the temperatures drop. And in the morning was when the temperatures were still low. But it was really windy so I thought they'd dry in the wind. I didn't enjoy it though with the chill in the air, wind, and the wet clothes making my hands more cold. So today was warmer and I hung out two loads. It is very cloudy and I'm thinking it will rain. We got a few sprinkles. Some of the things weren't totally dry, but I didn't want them to be left out and soaked so I brought them back inside.
