Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. The Hodgepodge lands on National Picnic Day...will you celebrate? Do you enjoy picnics? Dining out of doors picnic or otherwise? What are three or four things I'd find in your picnic basket?
No, I won't have a picnic.  We did eat on our back porch the other night and it was nice.  I don't like picnics if it's the middle of summer and super hot.  If there is a light breeze (not strong and blowing everything around) then I don't mind having a picnic.
Things in my picnic basket:
lemonade
chicken salad sandwiches
cookies
pickles

2.  A time recently where you felt 'antsy'?

We are feeling "antsy" to get the work and floors done in the house.

3. As the saying goes...'when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.'  Do you like lemonade? When did you recently need to make lemonade out of lemons, figuratively speaking?

Yes I like lemonade.  Sometimes for Titus' birthday party we make this lemonade/pineapple punch which is so yummy.

During the move we've had several instances of making lemonade out of lemons.  One would be when the electiricity in the camper was fried and we moved our beds into the house instead of staying in the camper.  It worked out nicely.

4. Recently five 'celebrities' made a brief (ll minute) foray into space aboard Jeff Bezos Blue Origin rocket. Did you hear about this? Your thoughts? If money were no object is this something you'd like to do someday?
I saw a picture about this but didn't read the article.  No I have no desire to go into space ever!

5. Favorite thing about the 'space' you're sitting in right now?

Well I'm currently in the camper so I can have a table to do some work while the guys are in the house.  This has been a good camper for us and lots of good memories of outings we've had together.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

We had a nice weekend with LOTS of rain Saturday evening.  Family had come Saturday afternoon to celebrate Titus' 10th birthday.  Then Sunday we had a nice Easter.  Our church did the flowering of the cross, and we took flowers from our own rose bushes this year.

Have a day of blessings! Bethany

I dislike outdoor picnics in summer too, far too hot and far too many bugs.
Those roses look beautiful, it's nice that you could take some from your garden.

Ohh! Yes to the chicken salad sandwiches in your picnic.
Eek to the things going wrong when you were moving.
Happy belated birthday to Titus!

We don't do picnics but eating outside at Adam and Gabby's is fun when the weather is nice. Your picnic sounds yummy. Yes, waiting for the house to be done would definitely make you antsy'. Good for you making lemonade. Yes, I wasn't very impressed with their space ship travel. Glad the camper has worked out for you. Glad you had a nice time celebrating Titus. The cross of flowers is beautiful.

I like that flowering of the cross idea. Beautiful. I can imagine being antsy about getting things done in your new house so you can move in. Our son is pulling out all the carpeting in the main spaces in their home and putting in new flooring. Happy Wednesday to you.

I do agree that the weather needs to be just right for a picnic to be truly enjoyable. That flowered cross is beautiful! Hope you're having a good week!
