Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. What is one cliche you think is nonsense? What's one you think holds truth?

Looking at a list one I feel is nonsense is "time heals all wounds."  Just that word all in there.....I think some wounds never are completely healed.  We may pretend they are healed or maybe they don't hurt as much but the pain is still there.

One I feel like is true is "actions speak louder than words."  I've seen this true many, many times.

2. What's the last thing you broke and how did it happen?

I can't think of breaking anything recently.  Well my dish washer is broken but I didn't do that!

3. Are you a fan of s'mores? Have you had a s'more this summer? Last thing you ate that you wanted to ask for 's'more of'
Yes!  I love s'mores.  We have them when we go to the river and deer lease.  I had one this summer at the river.  Also we had them at home one night.  My aunt gave us a little warmer with trays where you can make them inside.  We did that one time for movie night.

I wanted "s'more" cantaloupe.  I bought one at the grocery store, and it was so delicious!  I want to go back and get another.

4. A mode of transportation you've never tried? Will you someday?

I've never been on a cruise ship.  I don't really have a desire to either.

5. Believe it or not, next week's Hodgepodge lands in a brand new month. What's your happiest memory from the month we're bidding adieu?
We celebrated our oldest son granduating from fire academy, his 20th birthday, and starting his shifts at the fire department.  Such a special time for him!  We're proud of him!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

We are getting into the routine of school....figuring out what time to leave in the morning to avoid more of the traffic/line, breakfasts/lunches, after school snacks, what to wear.  I have been working on things at home and been productive which feels good.

Have a day of blessings!

I agree, many wounds are never healed. That warmer sounds nice. Enjoy your s'mores. Yes, cantaloupe is delicious. I agree 100% with you about the cruise ship. However, I have had mixed feelings recently since Adam, Gabby and James are going on another one next year. It would be fun to be with them but I still don't think I could do it. That is a special time for Caleb. I'm glad your routine is working for school.

Nothing can heal all wounds, that's just common sense and actions do speak louder then words.

Hi Bethany, thanks for visiting my blog. That is great that your son is a firefighter! I love your blog background. it is so cheerful. I read your profile. I had 3 miscarriages before having my first. He is 43 now. We have a son that will be 41 and a daughter that is 35. We have 4 grands. So God gave us all our blessings! Our youngest grandson always wants smore when he comes over.
Enjoy your weekend!
